Stormy (F) -RETIRE A BULL
Hi, my name is Stormy and I was saved by NSWBTR with a HUGE thank you to my Fummy (foster mummy) Michele.
Stormy entered care on 7th March 2023 with 2 big sun cancers on her belly in which we took immediate action on. Stormy was a strong girl, reactive to the unknown pacing her yard like a security dog on duty unsure and insecure in her new surroundings.
Stormy travelled to and from the vets on a barge across the water, unfortunately she was also heartworm positive, so we also started that treatment immediately.
Stormy started on all the best products, Canine Ceuticals, Filtabac, Mcdowells as well as sunsuits and a good quality diet, fresh chicken or roo mice, human grade,, cooked with this stuff added or fresh vegetables. For snacks or training treats, it's Ziwi Peak Lamb & Mackerel.
Now look at the difference.
She now adores the beach. Looking for fish, finding huge fish frames on the beach is like treasure. She wants to chase the sea birds but that's not allowed here. She really wants to eat them. She's intimidated by the pelicans though. She loves to chase the kangaroos away from the driveway. They're not allowed on her turf so I don't mind her doing that. She can loose lead walk now even around Kangaroos but not dogs, sometimes, as long as they're far off in the distance. She's a bit smarter than the other bullies I've had. I'm surprised sometimes how quickly she picks some things up but then she'll walk into a lamp post and remind me she's a bit silly. She loves cuddles and curling up on the couch with me. As soon I sit down she is there with me, sometimes elbowing me in the gut She's a lot calmer in general now. I found she took the longest to truly settle and i believe, finally realise this is her home.
