NSW Bull Terrier Rescue have been working for the last 3 years to secure and build our very own training and rehabilitation centre - not only for our rescue but any rescue who needs it.

In January 2015 Peta became president of our rescue and was thrown in the deep end of learning not only about the rescue industry but the ins and outs of running NSW Bull Terrier Rescue. She had a love for Bull Terriers from her childhood and a unique growing passion for all things rescue.

In April 2015 Peta had a dream. That dream was to create and operate an animal training and rehabilitation facility with a difference. She wanted to create a facility that focused on rescues, not a facility that slotted them in when they could and charged rescues extra for peak times. As the issues of running a rescue became apparent the one main issue and pressure point was the ability to find suitable foster homes in a hurry to save a life, that pressure and stress is something that every rescue faces every day.

In August 2017 after an extensive search Peta sold her family home to purchase the perfect property as the first step in making this dream a reality. Over the years the team of NSW Bull Terrier has had two main team members as the driving force – Peta and Jade. You only need to sit with these two ladies for 5 minutes to see their passion and be swept up in the concept of the facility. Peta has been working with a local planning company and businesses to create and prepare everything needed to get this facility started. Peta and her family have not only invested their lives into the rescue and the property but also has personally funded all costs to date for planning.

This facility is proposed to be environmentally friendly with a specifically designed waste system and completely solar powered.

Jade has undertaken study and training in Animal Behaviour and along with the trainers that our rescue uses in other locations has been paramount in assisting in our rehabilitation processes Jade also has 15+ years experience working and managing an animal boarding and rehabilitation facility.

Jade & Peta do what they do with no fanfare and ask nothing in return.

The aim of the new facility is to assist in reducing that stress for all rescues by creating a facility that works with rescues not against them and a facility that has an innate understanding not only of rescue dogs but also the ones that are classed too hard to handle.

This will be a facility that understands that these paws need extra time, love and guidance. A facility that offers rehabilitation, training, medical care, quality nutrition and most of all LOVE to any and all rescues who need it.
