Dog Diary - March 2026 A true Queen!

Dear Diary,

Today was a very good day. I woke up, had a little stretch, and then did one of my favourite things ever — found the perfect sunny spot inside and just… existed. Honestly, why would I go outside when the sun comes to me? Humans are still trying to figure out my logic.

Mum (Skye) has been super busy lately — something about “work” — but I can tell she’d much rather stay home with me (obviously, great choice). On the days she does leave, I handle it like a champ. I mean, I miss her… but I also nap. A lot. It’s a tough balance.

Today we went on an outing! First stop: the pet shop. I tried to be subtle about how much I loved it, but I think they noticed. Then we went to the headland, which had ALL the smells. Truly overwhelming. In a good way.

When we got home, I had a nap (standard procedure), and apparently there’s a bath in my near future. I have mixed feelings about this. I like being clean… but I also like not being wet. We’ll see how that goes.

My skin has been a bit “meh” lately — not terrible, just not at its absolute best. Mum says it might be better if she stayed home with me every day. I agree. This feels like a very solvable problem.

BEST NEWS: Luke is going to be home all week. This means maximum attention, maximum cuddles, and zero personal space (for him). Exactly how it should be. Also, I don’t think he’d survive being separated from me anyway, so this arrangement really benefits everyone.

I spent some quality time today making sure Luke stayed exactly where I could see him at all times. It’s important work.

Anyway, life is good. I’ve got another injection coming up soon — not my favourite, but I’ll be brave (and expect treats afterwards, obviously).

For now, I’m off to find another sunbeam.

Love,
Sara 🐾
